Employee Mediation

Some workplace conflicts need an outside hand

Staff conflict that goes unaddressed affects more than the individuals involved. It disrupts performance, puts pressure on leadership and, left long enough, creates legal and compliance risk. Settled provides an experienced, neutral mediator to step in and move the situation toward resolution before the cost grows further.

When does workplace mediation make sense?

Workplace mediation is suited for situations where communication has broken down between employees, where tension between team members is affecting performance or culture, or where a formal complaint or grievance is on the horizon. It works best as an early intervention, before positions become entrenched and options narrow.

It is particularly effective in smaller businesses without internal HR capacity, where there is no neutral party available to facilitate a structured conversation between the people involved.

How mediation sessions work at Settled

The process begins with individual sessions with each participant. This allows everyone to speak openly, understand what the process involves and prepare for joint discussion without pressure.

Joint mediation is then facilitated with clear authority and firm boundaries. Our mediator keeps the conversation focused on what needs to be resolved, manages power imbalances where they exist and moves discussions toward an outcome the business can act on.
