Throughout Elle’s career as a Social Worker, she has worked alongside children, parents, families and individuals navigating some of life’s most challenging circumstances. Over more than a decade, she has witnessed the significant emotional, financial and relational impact that unresolved conflict can have on people. That is why Elle felt so passionate about creating Settled.

Much of Elle's work has involved supporting families experiencing separation and navigating the family law system. Through this experience, she developed a strong appreciation for the role that mediation can play in helping parents make important decisions outside of Court. While mediation is not appropriate in every situation, when it is conducted safely and effectively it can provide families with a less adversarial, less costly and often less overwhelming pathway forward. Most importantly, it can help parents maintain greater ownership over decisions affecting their children.
At the same time, Elle's personal and professional life has provided a unique insight into the world of business. Having been surrounded by business owners and having supported business partners through periods of conflict and uncertainty, she has seen firsthand the importance of strong communication and alignment in successful business relationships. She has also observed how quickly misunderstandings, unspoken expectations and unresolved frustrations can impact even the most stable partnerships.

These experiences highlighted a gap in the market: there were services available to support couples in their personal relationships, but very few dedicated spaces for business partners to strengthen communication, work through challenges and build the foundations of a successful partnership. This insight led to the development of Settled's Business Partnership Workshops, a structured, solution-focused process designed to help business partners strengthen their working relationship.
The same principles underpin Settled's Workplace Mediation services. Through years of working with people, families and organisations, Elle has become increasingly aware that misunderstanding and communication breakdowns sit at the heart of much of the conflict experienced in workplaces. Given the right environment and structure, many workplace disputes can be resolved successfuly.
At its core, Settled exists to help people navigate conflict with greater confidence. Whether supporting separated parents, business partners, workplace teams or individuals, the goal always remains the same: to create a process where people feel heard and able to move forward.

Our mission
Our mission is to help people navigate difficult conversations in a way that feels less overwhelming and more productive. We strive to create a process that is approachable and practical. Whether the outcome is an agreement, a stronger working relationship or simply a better understanding of one another, we want people to leave with greater clarity and confidence than they had when they arrived.

Who we help
Settled works with families navigating separation and parenting conflict, workplaces managing employee or leadership disputes, and business partners who want to invest in how they work together. No matter what your conflict is about or what your goals are, we’ll work with everyone involved to find a path forward.
