While every partnership is different, many business partners find themselves avoiding important conversations. It's natural, discussions about workload, time off, family commitments, business spending, growth plans, risk tolerance, future goals, decision making, feeling undervalued, or differing expectations can remain unsaid for years.

However unfortunately, what goes unsaid rarely disappears.

Over time, assumptions can replace conversations, frustrations can turn into resentment, and small misalignments can grow into problems that affect both the partnership and the business. This workshop creates space for those conversations to happen.

Unlike trying to raise difficult topics over lunch, in a boardroom meeting, or after a stressful week at work, you don't need to be the person responsible for bringing up the awkward conversations. The mediator guides the process, asks the difficult questions, and helps both partners explore topics that may have been avoided until now. This creates an opportunity for honest discussion without either partner feeling like they are initiating criticism or creating conflict.

The process is structured and practical. Together, we identify areas of alignment, explore points of difference, clarify expectations, and develop strategies that support both the partnership and the long term success of the business.

How the process works

Each engagement begins with individual sessions before moving into a structured joint workshop. The joint session is guided by our unique framework, a process developed by Settled specifically for business partnerships. Both partners leave with a written plan they have shaped themselves.

Beyond these initial sessions, ongoing check-ins are available for partnerships that want to maintain their agreements over time.
