Counselling

Get clarity before deciding your next step

Sometimes conflict points to something that needs proper attention before any formal process begins. Counselling helps you understand what is actually going on, so you can move forward from a clearer position.

When does counselling make sense?

Counselling is suited to situations where conflict or tension has made communication difficult, where something significant has shifted in a relationship, or where you need support working through what is happening before deciding on next steps.

It can also be a useful entry point if you are unsure whether mediation is the right fit. We can help you start addressing the issue directly, and if mediation becomes the clearer path forward, that transition can be discussed and supported.

How counselling sessions work

Settled counselling sessions are structured with a clear focus, not open-ended. Our aim is to help you identify what is driving the conflict, clarify what each person needs, and work toward better communication or a defined way forward. Where your situation calls for a more formal process, Settled will guide you through it.
